This year’s Two Hands Interiors holiday party was such fun. Along with a lot of laughs, delicious food (yum, Gia Mia) and cocktails (Subourbon), like all the years past, our holiday soiree includes a “favorite things” gift exchange. We play by the rules of the typical Yankee Swap or White Elephant. Come to the party, wrap up one of your favorite things, draw numbers, and then take turns picking a present based on your number order (or stealing an already opened present).
Here are some of the gifts exchanged:
Grecian Bust Pot - Rachel has been saving this little lady from Anthropologie for just this moment, and it was so popular that it was snatched up by Heather from the original opener, Karen. :)
The Four & Twenty Blackbirds Pie Book - Emily gifted this pie recipe book. The backstory is that she got her own copy after visiting the cookbook writers’ pie shop in Brooklyn, New York for her 30th birthday.
Vintage Pot & Hoya - Karen (our resident green thumb) propagated this Hoya plant, and isn’t she gorgeous? The vintage pot came from Antique & Chic in Winfield.
Flush Balm from Merit and full coverage makeup brush from Bobbi Brown - Our beauty, Bryn, gifted these faves, and I was the lucky recipient of the “Cheeky” shade of the flush balm and this blush brush.
World Finds bracelet - This wrapping bracelet came from one of Magan’s visits to the Milwaukee Art Museum, which Karen was delighted to open after Heather “stole” her original gift. :)
Travel makeup bag from Eachy + glasses case - This gorgeous duo came from Heather, and Emily was so, so happy to unwrap it. The glasses case contains one side for sunglasses and another for readers!
Fox Run marble cheese slicer + some favorites from Trader Joe’s - Hannah gifted Bryn some fixings for some appetizers, along with a cheese board. Hannah makes a delicious dip she discovered on IG (thank you, @the3amigasinsc) that uses Trader Joe’s corn and chile salsa. Here are the details:
Trader Joe’s GF appetizer - Drain a can of beans, chop up an avocado and gently mix with one jar of Trader Joe’s corn and chile salsa and one container of pomegranate seeds–all of which can be found at Trader Joe’s. Hannah eats it with corn chips!
