After the vision is finalized and brought to life, but before the project is officially finished, we come to “install day.” This fast-paced and fun process takes place when we complete the vision by accessorizing and adding the final accents that really make a space sing. (Please pardon the iPhone images. We have some professional shots that give the full picture, and we can’t wait to share them soon!)
This past week, we had one such install day. It started out with foraging for some flowers in the yard back at home, before picking up the coffee order and driving to our client’s home, where we unloaded two SUVs packed with plants (so many plants!), vases, rugs, art, baskets and more. (And yes, we do use grocery store wine bags to pack some breakables that don’t need to travel far – there are some folks in the studio that give the side eye to this habit of mine.)
On deck for installation with this project, which previously included this swoon-worthy kitchen, living room and lounge, were four bathrooms and the entryway. Our design team divided and conquered (shout out to Karen, who is oh-so-good at styling!) and gave each space some final touches, before the fabulous Kristi Hughes started taking photos.
This dramatic powder room didn’t need much. Just a bud vase for a bright pop of hot pink.
This mix of plants, pink glass and fun towels really makes a splash in this sweet yet refined girls’ bathroom.
This small sliver of a wall in the primary bathroom just felt like it needed this artwork. I picked this piece up on a sourcing trip just a few weeks ago – not quite sure where it would go but loving the palette and depth of the piece. Now it makes this room sing!
These two bathrooms. We really love them. One needed this blue rug, and yes, the other needed this dog art, statue and potted plant.
Install day is one of our favorites at Two Hands Interiors, and it’s also a way for our clients to stock up on some unique items they wouldn’t otherwise probably run across.
